Privacy policy
How OuttaScope handles account, customer, approval, and payment data.
Data we collect
We process account details, contractor business information, customer contact details you enter, extra-work records, uploaded evidence, approval events, device and security logs, and subscription metadata.
Why we use it
We use data to provide the service, secure accounts, deliver approval workflows, support customers, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve product reliability.
Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies and local storage keep you signed in and keep the site working. Your signed-in session lives in an HttpOnly, Secure cookie your browser scripts cannot read directly. Your analytics choice, and an in-progress New Extra draft saved on your own device, are stored in local storage. Optional analytics storage is used only after you choose Allow analytics in the banner shown on your first visit.
Analytics and advertising
If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel may load to help us understand traffic and measure ad performance. None of these load on your signed-in workspace, the customer approval page, or the sign-in and sign-up screens, and none load until you make that choice. Choosing Essential only keeps every optional provider off.
Service providers
We use vetted infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, analytics, communications, and billing. Payment card details are collected by Stripe and are not stored by OuttaScope. Account email -- password resets, approval notifications, and billing receipts -- is delivered through Microsoft 365.
Approval and evidence records
When you send an approval request, the customer decision page and email show your business name, the work description, the price, and any photos attached to that revision. If you have added your name, phone number, or a business logo in Settings, those are shown too -- your phone number only appears on requests you send, and only if you chose to add it. Your customer's decision is recorded with the name they typed and the exact time. We do not store your customer's raw IP address or their browser's full user-agent string -- both are one-way hashed before they are stored, the same way approval-link tokens are.
Retention and deletion
Workspace owners can export records. We retain active-account data for service delivery and maintain limited backups and security records after deletion where legally or operationally required.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion through support. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe option. Reminder emails specifically -- activation nudges and win-back emails if you stop using OuttaScope -- can also be turned off any time from the Reminder emails control in Settings; account emails about billing and your subscription are not part of that toggle, because your account needs those.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as OuttaScope changes. A material change is reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
