Download a CSV from Reports
Every table in Reports has a Download CSV button. The file contains exactly the records shown on screen -- the same dates, customer, job, and status filters are applied -- so what you hand your bookkeeper is what you just checked.
How to download one
Open Reports, choose the report you want (Approval pipeline, Ready to bill, or Customer & job history), set your filters, then tap Download CSV. Overview is a set of totals rather than a table, so use the Approval pipeline export to get the underlying records.
What is in the file
One row per extra: customer, job, the extra's title and reason, its status, its current revision number, the amount, your currency, schedule impact, every date OuttaScope actually recorded (created, sent, viewed, decision, billed, and paid), how many days it has been awaiting a decision, and a link back into the app to open that exact record. A date the app never recorded is left blank rather than guessed. The file also ends with a short footer noting the report type, when it was generated, and the filters applied -- so you always know exactly what you are looking at later.
Each extra appears once
If you revised a price, the row shows the current revision and its amount. Earlier revisions are kept on your record but are not added again as extra rows, so the file does not double-count work you only did once.
Opening it safely
The file is UTF-8, so accented names and symbols survive. If a customer or job name starts with a character a spreadsheet would treat as a formula, OuttaScope prefixes it so your spreadsheet shows the text instead of running it.
Who can use it
The download is generated on demand from your signed-in workspace only, and is never placed in a public folder or shared through a permanent public link. A bookkeeper you give the file to sees your records, never another company's.
If a report is too big
Very large downloads are refused with a message asking you to narrow the date range, customer, job, or status. OuttaScope will not quietly hand you a partial file that looks complete.
