How revised prices appear in Reports
When you change the price of an extra after sending it, OuttaScope keeps the old version rather than overwriting it. That raises a fair question: does your report now count the work twice? It does not.
Each extra is counted once
Totals use each extra's current revision only. If you priced a job at one figure and revised it, the report shows the revised figure once -- not both, and not the sum.
The old version is kept, not counted
Earlier revisions and the decisions made against them stay on the extra's own record. They are history you can point to, not extra money in your totals.
A revised extra needs a new decision
If your customer approved a price and you then changed it, that approval no longer applies to the new price. Reports shows it as Revised ยท needs a new decision (the Extras and Today screens show the same situation with more detail -- which of the two answers it superseded), and it is deliberately not counted as approved or ready to bill until your customer decides on the new terms.
Where to see the history
Open the extra itself from any report row. The revision number shown in Reports (v1, v2, and so on) tells you which version the figures refer to.
What happens next
If something reads as Revised, open its proof record to see every earlier price and the decision made against each one.
